EVAN (Heeseung) Allegedly “Shades” ENHYPEN’s Vocals, Sparking Backlash
EVAN (former ENHYPEN member Heeseung) has been under scrutiny for recent comments.
Recently, the idol appeared on the YouTube channel Cho Hyun Ah’s Ordinary Thursday Night, where he was interviewed about a number of topics.
During this show, he attracted attention for his admission of having ADHD, something he had never discussed before.

During the show, the idol also spoke about and was tested over his perfect pitch. Perfect pitch is the ability to identify or recreate a specific musical note by name without needing an external reference tone.

When EVAN and Hyun Ah spoke about it, he revealed that hearing something out of pitch actually causes him to have a physical reaction. The idol claimed that his stomach would become upset, and that he can instantly tell when he sings out of pitch.
After this video clip was shared on social media, many netizens had thoughts on Heeseung’s comments.
Some saw them as “shade” towards ENHYPEN, seeing EVAN’s admissions of dealing with stomachaches as a way of him saying that his previous group did not hold pitch well.

This resulted in a wave of criticism against EVAN, including accusations of him lip syncing himself, though fans defended him saying that the comments did not indicate that he was speaking about anyone in particular.
