EXO’s Chanyeol proves that rappers can sing by living in the studio
EXO‘s Chanyeol has sung a sweet rendition of “One More Time, One More Chance”, a soundtrack from the popular Japanese animated film 5 Centimeters Per Second.
Named as the group’s main rapper, Chanyeol posted a one-minute video to his Instagram account and fans are now expressing their wish to hear the full version. Although he did not reveal his face during this video, it allowed listeners to focus on his acoustic talents as he played back a sweet live track he recorded for fans.
The original song by Japanese singer Masayoshi Yamazaki was popularized by the 2007 animated film. Even though sung completely in Japanese, the rapper was still able to convey the emotion of the ballad amazingly, leaving fans astonished at the rapper’s beautiful singing voice.
Chanyeol had previously shown off his singing abilities when collaborating with TWICE‘s lead vocalist Nayeon on KBS‘s Music Bank covering Baekhyun and Suzy‘s duet single “Dream”.
The hardworking SM Entertainment singer later shared another video onto Instagram, giving his followers a peek look at the studio he was working in until 3am in the morning, when he decided it was finally time to go home.
