EXO’s Xiumin absent from 4th Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards due to fever
SM Entertainment has released a statement explaining Xiumin’s absence from the 4th Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards with EXO.
On January 28th, EXO attended and performed for the 4th Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards and won special awards such as “Fan Vote Popularity Vote” and “2nd Quarter Best Selling Record Award” for their track, “Overdose.”
However, as the members gave their speech for the Quarterly Award, Suho dedicated the achievement to his family in SM Entertainment and was quoted saying, “We will accept this with Xiumin who is unable to join us today.”
Since the statement, fans online immediately expressed their concert for Xiumin’s absence, sparking further speculations.
To this, SM Entertainment disclosed through a statement that Xiumin was too unwell to join the members at the event and was revealed to be having fever.
Meanwhile, aside from attending the event, EXO also graced the stage and rendered special performances for their tracks “Moonlight and” chart-topping track, “Overdose.”
