G-Dragon Slaps 100+ Haters With Million-Won Fines And Criminal Complaints

G-Dragon’s agency, Galaxy Corporation, has shared an update on its ongoing legal action against people accused of spreading malicious comments, false rumors, and harmful content about the singer.

On August 4, Galaxy Corporation revealed that it has continued taking legal action to protect G-Dragon’s rights and reputation. The company said it has been responding to cases involving defamation, insults, privacy violations, and other forms of online harassment.

Since February 24, the agency has filed complaints against around 100 individuals after collecting evidence through fan reports and its own monitoring system.

Several of these cases have already moved forward, with some suspects being sent to prosecutors or facing criminal trials. Among the completed cases, courts issued summary orders requiring multiple individuals to pay fines ranging from ₩2 million KRW (around $1,400 USD) to ₩7 million KRW (around $5,000 USD).

Galaxy Corporation stated that it will continue pursuing legal action against people who spread unverified rumors, insult or mock G-Dragon, illegally share his personal information, create sexually inappropriate content, or distribute manipulated images, videos, or audio.

The agency also announced that it will improve its reporting system to allow fans to submit reports about violations of G-Dragon’s rights more quickly.
