Hyolyn Reveals Why She Wants To Collaborate with IU

“She has characteristics that I don’t have…”

In a recent interview with Allure Korea, former SISTAR vocalist Hyolyn revealed that she’s hoping to do a collaboration with IU!

Hyolyn, who is busy promoting “DALLY,” a song featuring GRAY, first shared about her experiences collaborating on the track.

“I was so grateful that [Gray] accepted my collaboration proposal. He made the beat for this single, and as soon as I heard it, I thought of the theme of two people who have been together for a long time becoming worn out because they were complete opposites.” — Hyolyn

She revealed that she enjoyed collaborating with Gray as a producer and an artist.

“Gray wrote lyrics from a man’s perspective, and I worked on adding the melody to the beat. We really had fun sharing our ideas and that reflected  in our work.” — Hyolyn

Hyolyn, who has collaborated with such big names as GOT7 and Jay Park, then explained her criteria for collaborating with an artist.

“The song itself is probably the biggest factor when I choose to collaborate with an artist.” — Hyolyn

Finally, Hyolyn revealed that the person she wants to collaborate with the most is IU!

“Recently, I have been thinking about what it would be like to collaborate with IU. She has characteristics that I don’t have. If we worked together, I think that we would be able to pull the different sides out of each other.” — Hyolyn

While fans await possible collaboration news, Hyolyn will be busy promoting her new single “Dally”.
