The K-Drama follows prosecutor Go Eun Sae (Ha Young), who loses her memory after an incident while investigating a dangerous crime syndicate. She later meets Jang Tae Ha (Jung Hae In), a former boxing champion who has become involved with a gang.

Recognizing Eun Sae as his first love, Tae Ha tells her that he is her boyfriend in order to protect her, and the two begin living together while she remains unaware of her past.

Although Netflix describes the series as a romantic comedy, many viewers were uncomfortable with the premise after learning that the male lead deceives a woman suffering from amnesia into believing they are in a relationship.

The backlash quickly spread across social media, with many criticizing the plot for presenting emotional manipulation as romance. Others also brought up Jung Hae In’s past support of Kim Soo Hyun during the actor’s controversy involving the late Kim Sae Ron, saying it made them even less interested in watching the series.
