KATSEYE Face Heated Backlash For Supposedly Deceiving Fans
HYBE girl group KATSEYE has stirred up controversy yet again with their latest public appearance.
On August 29 (local time), KATSEYE made a surprise appearance at the Daisy Chains Fields festival, founded by singer Olivia Rodrigo. Though the group was originally scheduled to perform, they had to cancel at the last minute due to Megan‘s ankle injury.

Though the members didn’t perform, their surprise appearance on the stage was appreciated by fans who were otherwise heartbroken by the last-minute withdrawal. However, Daniela‘s absence triggered a massive backlash.
Fans found it odd that, though it was Megan who got injured, leading to the group’s performance at the show being canceled, she showed up for the surprise appearance along with Lara and Yoonchae, while Daniela decided to sit it out for reasons unknown.

Many speculated that Daniela was the member who got injured, but due to PR reasons, their label put out a statement claiming it was Megan. Others were simply angered since they felt that KATSEYE were playing with the trust of their fans.
