These K-Pop Idols Will Appear As Mentors On China’s Produce 101
A Chinese version of Produce 101 is set to air, and it’s garnering a lot of attention for the K-Pop idol mentors!
GOT7’s Jackson, PRISTIN’s Kyulkyung, and Cosmic Girls’ Cheng Xiao have all confirmed that they will be appearing as mentors on iQiyi’s Idol Producer.
Kyulkyung recorded a sweet message to the fans, saying that she is excited and honored to be selected as a mentor.
Cheng Xiao also shot a video message to the contestants, encouraging them to show their best talents.
Both Kyulkyung and Chen Xiao will be mentoring the dance positions, while GOT7’s Jackson will be appearing as a rap mentor.

EXO’s Lay would also be featured as the main presenter of the show, similar role as Jang Keun Suk and BoA from Produce 101.
Previously, Idol Producer was accused of plagiarizing Mnet’s Produce 101, as the format is similar to the popular South Korean show.

The program will air in January of 2018 with 111 trainees who will be competing for a spot in an idol group!
