They talked about this in greater detail in a recent interview with Just Jared. Here, they each mentioned a surprising fact or realization that they recently learned about being a K-Pop idol.

Check out their answers below!

1. Eunchae

First up, maknae Eunchae’s biggest worry pre-debut was that she would not be able to show her true potential in front of an audience. Unlike her fellow members, she had no experience in the public eye prior to the release of “FEARLESS” and she was also the last one to be added to the lineup.

Before our debut, I was so nervous and worried that I would struggle with even the things that I was good at while on stage.

— Eunchae

Now, however, she is much more secure and confident, saying, “However, when we debuted, I was surprised to find out that I actually don’t get very nervous.”

Moreover, she agreed that K-Pop idols can have “glamorous” experiences. These can include wearing designer clothing, going on trips, staying in expensive accommodations, and more. Eunchae admitted that she had a difficult time getting used to such grand treatment.

It’s true that there’s a glamorous side to an idol life, but it was the first time I got to experience everything so it was a bit tough to get used to in the beginning.

2. Chaewon

Next up, leader Chaewon had a short yet sweet answer regarding what she learned about being a K-Pop idol after debut. As someone who spent several years with packed schedules in IZ*ONE, restarted her trainee life in order to prepare for LE SSERAFIM, and barely took a break after the release of “FEARLESS,” she realized that she should prioritize her health. If not, her activities would be greatly limited.

I realized just how important it is to take good care of my health.

3. Kazuha

Kazuha, meanwhile, had an answer that was related to her extreme job change pre-debut. She used to train professionally as a ballerina before hanging up her pointe shoes to become a singer.

Kazuha Pre-Debut

After debut, she saw just how overwhelming the love of FEARNOTs can be.

I couldn’t have really imagined what this job would be like so I can’t pinpoint a difference, but it makes me happy to receive so much love from our fans. I don’t think it’s something I’d be able to experience without taking on this job so I am very thankful.

Sakura had a similar answer. It dawned on her recently that she receives an incredible amount of support from people all over the world, and she couldn’t be more thankful.

I feel grateful and proud that I got to receive so much more love than I have imagined.

5. Yunjin

Finally, Yunjin had a hilarious response that stood out from the rest. After she made her debut, she learned that she should always carry around a blanket with her for the ultimate comfort object.

Blankets are a must-have.
