On February 26, Man of Creation released a statement alerting fans of fake accounts posing as agency accounts or actors/staff members asking for money.

Here is the agency’s full statement:

We recently received reports about impostors fraudulently posing as our company and asking for money. Therefore, we are making an announcement about this.

Our company does not have any official social media accounts aside from our Twitter and Instagram accounts. Additionally, in no situation would we ever make financial requests or demands to a specific individual.

We urge you not to give money due to these impostors who are impersonating our company employees and our agency.

We ask that you continue to send your warm love and interest to the actors under Man of Creation in the future.

Fake accounts have always been an issue in K-Pop. However, lately, these accounts asking for money seem to have become the new trend. Actor Hyun Bin was recently affected by this as many of his fans gave money to accounts thinking they were him.
