SEVENTEEN Mingyu‘s military notice has sparked negativity towards the idol, with fans quick to defend him from the hate.
On August 10, the enlistment notices for the remaining SEVENTEEN members were announced, including Seungkwan and Dino for the military band and Mingyu for public service.

Yet, the announcement sparked negativity towards Mingyu.
While some hit back at the idol doing public service, claiming that there was a high number of members in the group doing it, others shared “happiness” about the idol going, with it seemingly linked to Mingyu’s friendship with BTS‘s Jungkook.
