Somi’s Backup Dancers Reveal The Danger Of The Point Choreography For “Dumb Dumb”
Somi just came back with her song “Dumb Dumb” and it’s already killing it on the charts.
To celebrate Somi’s comeback, her backup dancers from YGX sat down to react to the MV for the first time.
Halfway through their reaction, they began to discuss the killing point choreography for the song in which one eye is circled by a hand flipped upside down. “Producer Teddy and Somi gave us the idea for this choreo” they shared.
As they began to do the move, Redlic even exclaimed “Batman”, comparing the move to the famous superhero.
Then Silvergun began to explain the difficulties of the move and gave tips on how to improve the movement suggesting practice. Redlic even chimed in to add that it helps it “you put your hand on the cheek first.”
Unfortunately for Redlic, when she later decided to demonstrate the move in full, she didn’t consider her beautiful long nails.
When doing the move, she avoided her eye completely which Silvergun noticed, asking her if she was “okay with that long nails? It might poke your eyes.”
Redlic then explained that she had poked her eyes before and “so I close my eyes when I do this point choreo.”
After Redlic demonstrated how wrong it could go, Silvergun warned the audience by saying “Anyone who have done their nails, please close your eyes when you do this.”Now when watching live stages, be on the look out for all the backup dancers who look like they are winking to protect their eyesight and let us know if you’ve noticed this safety adjustment!
