BTS Jungkook’s “My Time” And “Euphoria” Are The Only Tracks By A K-Pop Idol To Chart On Billboard For A Year
BTS‘ “My Time” and “Euphoria” have just surpassed a year on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart!
The World Digital Song Sales chart tracks the sales of international songs in the United States per week. Although these songs are credited to the group, they are solo tracks by member Jungkook, making him the first and only solo K-Pop idol to hit a year on the chart. The only other K-Pop solo artist (non-idol) to have spent over a year on the World Digital Song Sales chart is PSY with “Gangnam Style,” coming in at a whooping 356 weeks.
The two tracks are in succession on the chart, with “My Time” at ninth place and “Euphoria” at tenth. They are accompanied by two other BTS tracks, “Life Goes On” and “Filter,” as well as Suga‘s solo track “Daechwita,” which is at first place on the chart.
My Time and Euphoria by Jungkook are now the first and only solos by a Korean Idol to have spent 1 full year charting on Billboard World Digital Song Sales. @BTS_twt #JUNGKOOK #정국 #JK pic.twitter.com/lmwXmmGJef
