Transgender Woman Broadcaster Jokes About Menstrual Cramps, Backfires
A Korean star directly confronted a transgender broadcaster’s joke about menstrual cramps, drawing attention.
On July 7th, a short video titled “Yes. I won’t do it.” was posted on the YouTube channel Pungja TV.
The video showed Shin Gi Ru and Pungja drinking alcohol and eating chicken.
Shin Gi Ru noticed Pungja acting full and asked, “Are you full?” adding, “It’s strange to see you like this because I’m not used to it.”
Pungja explained, “Menstrual cramps, menstrual cramps,” complaining of pain caused by menstruation.

Then Shin Gi Ru fired a direct comment, “I thought transgenders don’t menstruate” Pungja was surprised and spat out the drink she was having.
Shin Gi Ru said, “Since there are aspiring transgender people too, I need to clarify this. People in the LGBT community might misunderstand. I know a lot about transgender information.”
Pungja replied, “I said something stupid once and got it back tenfold.”
Pungja debuted as a transgender YouTuber in 2019. Recently, Pungja made headlines for successfully losing 33 kg.
