Upcoming K-Drama “Youth Of May” Starring Lee Do Hyun And Go Min Si Reveals First Teaser And Poster

It already looks like a promising drama.

Lee Do Hyun and Go Min Si may have starred as step-siblings in Netflix hit, Sweet Home, but the two will show off their romantic chemistry in the upcoming K-Drama, Youth of May.

Youth of May has long been teased, since 2020. The drama will revolve around Hwang Hee Tae (played by Lee Do Hyun) and Kim Myung Hee (played by Go Min Si). They are both in their mid-twenties and meet in the city of Gwangju. While Hee Tae is a smart student who was admitted to Seoul University, he was raised by a single mother in the countryside. He visits family back in Gwangju. Myung Hee is a nurse who is in her third year. She is a strong, independent female that left home by herself. She dreams of studying in Germany one day. The two experience 1980s Gwangju, a political battlefield.

The first posters have been released, teasing a warm, retro romance between the two. While the clothes do not seem that outdated, the backdrop is staunchly dedicated to the 1980s theme.

The drama also released it’s first video teaser. In it, Lee Do Hyun writes a loving note to Go Min Si that reads, “Whenever I think of you, it becomes a piece of music. With a fluttering heart, there is a song I’d like to play for you. May 3rd, I’ll be waiting there.” The soft guitar notes are suddenly cut short with the blast of a gun, foreshadowing future events to come in the drama.

With a teaser that leaves us hanging on the edge of our seats, we’re absolutely eager to find out more. Stay tuned for more updates on Youth of May!
