BLACKPINK Actually Started Recording “Forever Young” Before They Even Debuted
A video has recently resurfaced, showing (then) unknown YG trainees recording a brand new song back in 2015. That song turned out to be BLACKPINK‘s “Forever Young”, included on their first mini-album SQUARE UP.
In the video, a fan was walking past the YG Entertainment building at night when the familiar melody could be heard.
The fan noticed that the voice didn’t sound like a 2NE1 member’s, and it wasn’t! It was actually Rosé and Lisa’s singing their lines from the first verse.
Some fans were not happy with BLACKPINK’s long hiatus considering the songs on their mini-album have been in preparation for much longer than 1 year, but other fans were not surprised.
Jennie: Really and See U Later was a song that we have been working since debut and there has been alot of changes from then so when it was finally done and released, they are songs that we really really treasure a lot

I’m not surprised Forever Young already existed since 2015, YG did say BlackPink had 8 songs prepared for debut

Forever Young was recorded back in 2015 and YG has the audacity to use the hashtag #One_Year_Of_Preparation as if it took them 1 full year to prepare 4 songs…I just…

they've worked on really and see u later since debut, recorded forever young back in 2015… so… yg just trapped them in the dungeon during the hiatus contradictory to his statement that it took them a year to prepare for this cb??? SMH
