BLACKPINK Set This Record With Their Debut & So Far No Other Group Has Achieved This
3 years into their career, BLACKPINK has set and broken record after record. This record-breaking streak began with their debut song “Whistle”. “Whistle” set a record that no idol or group had achieved before, and none have since.
With “Whistle” BLACKPINK were the first group to achieve a Perfect All-Kill (PAK) with their debut song, something that no group before nor after has been able to do.
For those who don’t know, a Perfect All-Kill (PAK) is when a song gets #1 on both the daily and weekly chart of every major Korean music chart. The first group to achieve a PAK was BLACKPINK’s predecessor, 2NE1, with “Lonely” in 2011. (We love powerful YG girl groups!)
BLACKPINK continues to create and break new records with everything they do, and we can’t wait to see what they do next. Speculation has it that Rosé’s solo is coming up soon, but BLINKs and the world will have to wait and find out.
Today in 2016, BLACKPINK's debut single 'WHISTLE' achieved a Perfect All-Kill on Korean charts.
This made them the FIRST group to ever do so with their debut song, and they're still the only one to date! pic.twitter.com/loyDLuKa3A
