These coffee lids specially designed for the former President of the United States, Barack Obama, contains special hidden meanings behind them.
Designer Jang Woo Seok designed these coffee lids as a thank you for his time in office because he had heard that former President Barack Obama enjoys drinking coffee. This led Jang Woo Seok to come up with the idea of creating a new design for coffee lids.
The top looks like the shape of a face. It is supposed to symbolize a politician’s mouth.
He claims a politician is expected to encourage and compliment others rather than put others down. Because Obama has taken part in reaching out to the LGBTQ+ community, had excellent diplomacy skills and reached across party lines, Jang Woo Seok wanted to pay tribute to him.

Jang Woo Seok used the color black to represent diversity. Instead of saying “CAUTION: HOT” on the surface, it says “HOT from HEART.”
