The Korean Rapper Who Came Out As Gay — Then Vanished From The Internet
Former High School Rapper 3 contestant and rapper AQUINAS received immense support after coming out as gay on his personal Instagram.

AQUINAS has appeared in many shows and is best known for his appearance in High School Rapper 3 in Team B in 2019, where he won second place. Since then, he has released some amazing songs and gained support for his unique and charismatic presence on stage with unreal talent.
Back in 2021, AQUINAS was praised after he honestly came out as bisexual.

Three years later, in 2024, AQUINAS shared a photo of a rainbow flag with the caption, “I’m actually gay, not bisexual.”

When the post was shared, the comments were full of netizens sharing their support and positivity amid his announcement. Although Korean society can be traditional when it comes to topics of sexuality, international fans made sure that AQUINAS felt like he had support.

On Reddit, he also received support. While some fans pointed out that the topic of sexuality is still not embraced in Korea, citing examples of this with AQUINAS, others were glad he could be open with fans.
While sexuality is still taboo in many parts of Korea, more idols and celebrities coming out will benefit the LGBTQIA+ community in the country as fewer people live in fear of being themselves.
However, after coming out, he has not been active in the music scene, with his last release being in April 2024. There have been unverified rumors that he has moved back into the non-celebrity lifestyle, most recently working at an e-cigarette store.
