Red Velvet’s Wendy Chosen As Representative For New Spotify Campaign
Red Velvet‘s Wendy has been chosen as the South Korean representative for Spotify‘s new EQUAL campaign.
EQUAL aims to help promote equality for women in music and celebrate their contributions. For the campaign, Spotify picks a female artist or group each month to represent various countries as the “EQUAL Artists of the Month.”
On April 30, Spotify released its first playlist, and Wendy was picked as the representative for South Korea with her track “Like Water.” She joins artists such as German singer Zoe Wees, Japanese group CHAI, and British singer-songwriter Celeste.
The music platform will also release a playlist for each country, and Korea’s includes tracks from IU, aespa, Jessi, TWICE, MAMAMOO, and many more!
