aespa’s Karina Accused Of Wearing “Butt Pads” To Change Her Proportions
A resurfaced clip of aespa’s Karina at a brand event has divided netizens, with many accusing the star of wearing body padding.

The footage in question was taken at a past pop-up event for Krush beer, one of the brands that Karina models for. While the star is signing a poster, the back of her jeans can be seen protruding in a way that some fans are claiming looks unnatural.

Images and videos from the event have now gone viral on social media, with some insisting that the protrusion is proof that Karina has worn padding to artificially enhance her figure.
mys are so good at hiding everything because what do you mean she put a fucking pillow on her ass BUT didn't get any hate unlike yuna or other idols https://t.co/uVPLqIktRr

So-called “butt pads,” which are commonly used among celebrities, are designed to create a fuller look without cosmetic surgery or fillers.
Other fans, however, have been quick to defend the aespa member, with many arguing that the unusual appearance is simply the result of her jeans being pinned to accommodate her small waist.
Her stylist literally put pin back on her pants but yall spreading bullshits https://t.co/LUMzJrPueL pic.twitter.com/PfixRwgCsf

Clothes-pinning is a common technique for K-Pop stylists, but it can result in odd bunching, particularly with stiffer fabrics like denim. In footage taken from other angles on the same day, fans say there is no visible sign of padding.

This debate isn’t the first of its kind, and numerous female idols have faced similar accusations over the past year — including fellow aespa member Ningning as well as ITZY’s Yuna and Red Velvet’s Wendy. In light of the recurring pattern of conversation, many fans are pushing back and urging others to stop commenting on girl group stars’ body shapes altogether.
