Lee Seung Gi And EXO’s Baekhyun Could Lose Their Multi-Million Dollar Homes

They may lose millions.

Luxury villas leased by Lee Seung Gi and Baekhyun have been seized and provisionally frozen due to massive tax delinquency and fraud allegations involving One Hundred chairman Cha Ga Won, raising fears the two celebrities could ultimately lose their homes.

The National Tax Service recently seized multiple units of the high-end Lanuvo villas in Hannam-dong, Seoul, after determining Cha had failed to pay a significant amount of taxes. In addition, a domestic company filed for a court-ordered provisional seizure over Cha’s ownership stakes in the properties, which the court approved. This means Cha is currently barred from exercising property rights over the villas.

Both Lee Seung Gi and Baekhyun signed massive jeonse (lump-sum lease) contracts for units in Lanuvo Phase 1, reportedly worth ₩10.5 billion KRW (about $7.17 million USD) and ₩16.0 billion KRW (about $10.9 million USD), respectively. At the time, they each took out large loans under their own names to cover the deposits. If the properties are auctioned off due to Cha’s financial issues, the loan burden could fall entirely on them, potentially leaving them with huge debt and no homes.

With all four units of Lanuvo Phase 1 now under provisional seizure, concerns are growing that Lee Seung Gi and Baekhyun could become high-debt obligors and face the real possibility of losing their residences.

Cha Ga Won, who operates One Hundred and its affiliated labels, is also facing a lawsuit worth tens of billions of won, further threatening her real estate holdings and company operations. Critics warn that her financial mismanagement could ultimately impact artists and employees connected to her companies.

As legal proceedings continue, many are watching closely to see whether Lee Seung Gi and Baekhyun can recover their deposits, or whether the worst-case scenario of losing their homes could become reality.
