Singer-Actress Exposes Her “Terrifying” Stalker — A Male Actor
During a recent YouTube talk show appearance, a singer-actress revealed how her colleague’s behavior escalated after she welcomed him into her friend group.
Two years ago, Hong Kong singer, actress, and host Joey Thye met an actor during a dinner gathering. She didn’t reveal the actor’s name, but she described him as funny and average rather than good-looking.
A week after becoming acquainted, Joey said the actor sent her a long message, in which he confessed his romantic feelings for her. She turned down his confession by writing back, “Sorry, don’t waste your time on me, because I only like handsome guys.”
Joey said the actor began to bombard her with daily messages, repeatedly asking her to go for drives with him. He eventually escalated from sending messages to finding her private studio and showing up there unannounced. Joey was with their mutual friends at the time, and she refused to go with the actor when he demanded to speak to her in private. She told him she didn’t feel safe, but she said he persisted, telling her he “missed her so much.”
She said that the man said, “I’m not crazy!” when she told him, in front of their friends, that his “behavior feels terrifying” to her. This incident was the final straw for Joey. Afterwards, she cut off contact with the actor, blocking him on social media. Even so, she still feels “a little scared” when she sees him from a distance at public events.
