The show, starring IU and Byun Woo Seok, is set in an alternative universe where Korea is a constitutional monarchy. IU plays Seong Hui Ju, a chaebol frustrated by her commoner status, while Byun Woo Seok is a prince who has nothing beyond his title.

The first episode has since been met with criticism from netizens, who already had issues with the plot.

In clips posted online, netizens shared their thoughts on his acting in comparison to his co-stars.

Another clip of him acting alongside IU also garnered critical reactions, attributing his success to his visuals.

These clips were posted on to popular Korean forum where they went viral. Of the comments, many were harshly critical of his acting, while some found it “okay” at best.
