Wanna One, LOONA, and More Confirmed for First Lineup of MAMA 2018 in Korea

The first lineup for 2018 MAMA PREMIERE in KOREA has been announced, featuring the greatest rookies in Korea and Asia.

The event, will be going down at the trendy Dongdaemun Design Plaza on December 10 and the renowned “Rookie of the Year” awards will be given out that day. Here’s who will be in attendance!

 

1. HAON

This super rookie was the winner of High School Rapper 2 and is now signed to Jay Park‘s H1GHR Music label HAON is nominated for Best New Male Artist.

 

2. Hyeongseob x Euiwoong

This duo from Yuehua Entertainment captured hearts from all over the world during their time as Produce 101 Season 2 trainees. They are also nominated for Best New Male Artist!

 

3. Kim Dong Han

Another Produce 101 Season 2 trainee, Donghan debuted with JBJ in 2017 and as solo artist in June 2018. He is also up for Best New Male Artist, as well.

 

4. Stray Kids

JYP Entertainment‘s super rookie Stray Kids, also a Best New Male Artist nominee, will also be in attendance!

 

5. The Boyz

Cre.ker Entertainment‘s rising stars, The Boyz, are also up for Best New Male Artist.

2nd runner-up to HAON on High School Rapper Season 2 and hot rookie of the hip-hop scene, VINXEN is also up for Best New Male Artist!

 

7. fromis_9

The group made from Mnet show Idol School, fromis_9 will be there too and up for Best New Female Artist. They’re known as hard-working rookies, releasing 3 mini-albums in one year.

 

8. (G)I-DLE

Monster girl group rookies (G)-I-DLE are also up from Best New Female Artist, acknowledging their swift takeover of the K-pop scene since the moment they debuted.

 

9. GWSN

These Best New Female Artist nominees will have men and women of all ages having fun in the “park” with them.

 

10. IZ*ONE

Though they debuted just two weeks ago, IZ*ONE has shown incredible results, making them worthy of the Best New Female Artist nomination!

 

11. LOONA

Considering how many people #STANLOONA, it’s no wonder LOONA is also up for Best New Female Artist.

 

12. Nature

The lovely fairies of Nature will be performing at MAMA as well, and could be the recipients of Best New Female Artist!

 

13. Wanna One

As the the winners of Best New Male Artist at MAMA 2017, they will be showing their hoobaes how it’s done.

They are also nominated for Artist of the Year, Best Male Group, Best Dance Performance Male Group. Wanna One Triple Position (Kang Daniel, Kim Jaehwan, and Park Woojin) are also nominated for Best Unit.”Beautiful” is also nominated for Best Music Video, and “Boomerang” for Song of the Year.

 

14. Dean Ting

Dean Ting will be representing China in the Best New Asian Artist category.

 

15. Hiragana Keyakizaka46

This sub-group within Keyakizaka46, a sister group of AKB48‘s rival group will be performing at MAMA as well. They are also up for the Best New Asian Artist category!

 

16. Marion Jola

Marion participated in Indonesian Idol Season 9 and was eliminated when it came down to the Top 6. Her latest track “Jangan” is at 32 million views on YouTube!

 

17. Orange

Orange, hailing from Vietnam, is also slotted to perform at MAMA.

 

18. The Toys

 

The Toys a.k.a. Thanwa “Toy” Boonsongnern from Thailand will be attending MAMA, hopefully performing his viral track “Last Winter”.
