Korean Woman’s Horrifying Cosmetic Procedure Results Corrected After 50 Years

Invasive plastic surgery procedures, such as traditional facelifts, come with risks, but even seemingly minor procedures can sometimes be dangerous.

Such was the case for an 82-year-old Korean woman, who suffered a skin defect on bilateral preauricular cheeks after a single injection. The woman was injected with unidentifiable substances approximately 50 years ago. The injection resulted in progressive skin thinning with telangiectasia (commonly known as spider veins) developing at the injection site.

The skin began to peel off, revealing granuloma (a mass of granulation tissue triggered by an infection or inflammation) on the woman’s cheeks, where she had been injected.

Thankfully, surgeons were able to safely remove the foreign body from her face without damaging facial nerves or the parotid gland, which the mass had gradually pushed out of place.

The after photos are nothing short of stunning!
