It has been four years since the first season of Road to Kingdom aired in 2020, where seven K-Pop boy groups — THE BOYZPENTAGONONFVERIVERYTO1Golden Child, and ONEUS — competed against each other in weekly challenges for the chance to win the show and participate on the subsequent show, Kingdom: Legendary War. THE BOYZ ended up winning the first season, which definitely brought a boost to their audience and popularity!

With the competitors and winners of Road to Kingdom getting the chance to show off their skills and abilities to a wider audience, K-Pop fans have already begun to discuss who they would like to see appear on the second season.

A couple of posts have been made on Reddit about the topic, with some artists being brought up multiple times from different commenters. Groups like A.C.EJUST BCRAVITY, and other, lesser-known artists seem to be potential picks according to fans, though some are actually a bit hesitant to hope their favorite group ends up on the show because of the stress it can create for the idols. But given how incredible the performances on Road to Kingdom tend to be, it’s understandable why even those hesitant to see their faves on the show would still enjoy it!

There are some artists, such as xikers and BOYNEXTDOOR, who fans think might be too popular to appear on Road to Kingdom at this point in their careers, but also might not quite be well-known enough to compete on a second season of Kingdom: Legendary War if there are plans for that to happen after this season ends. Since the show is aimed towards artists who haven’t had their first music show win or have low album sales, it does limit who is qualified to appear.

There are a lot of smaller groups that have appeared on survival shows before too, and making them go through yet another competition might seem unfair or not be welcomed by the members themselves.

Are there any particular groups that you would like to see on the second season of Road to Kingdom?
