TXT’s Yeonjun Reveals His True Feelings About His Studio Choom “Artist Of The Month” Performance

“The dance was not going the way I wanted it to.”

TXT‘s Yeonjun absolutely crushed his performance as Studio Choom‘s “Artist of the Month” and while he seemed flawless, Yeonjun shared it was a long process to perfection.

During a recent live broadcast, Yeonjun shared his experience with preparing for his Studio Choom performance. Yeonjun revealed that he struggled a lot at the beginning of practice and became lost on what to do.

I was like, ‘What do I do?’ and I kept on choking up because the dance was not going the way I  wanted it to. My brain was like, ‘Yeonjun, do it powerfully. Do it powerfully!’

Yeonjun continued and explained though his brain was telling him to dance stronger, his body wasn’t cooperating.

My body’s like “Yeonjun, your body is not in a place where it can do this.’ In my mind, I wanted to do it strongly, however, my body couldn’t follow. It was really tiring choreography stamina-wise.

The choreography was so challenging that Yeonjun admitted he had a breakdown as he wanted the dance to turn out perfect.

I had a mental breakdown, ‘Wow, how do I do this? Can I do it?’ I asked my teacher first, ‘What do I do, seriously?’ I thought it would be so embarrassing if it came out the way it was at the time (at practice).

Yeonjun later mentioned that with the energy of the backup dancers, he was able to dance stronger.

Furthermore, Yeonjun expressed that it was all a lot of pressure but was able to get through it all. For MOAs, Yeonjun shared that he worked hard and practiced whenever he was able to.

I had a lot of pressure for studio choom, but I still ended up being able to do it somehow. I worked really hard, seriously. I practiced whenever I had the time since I can’t present an embarrassing side of myself to MOAs right?

— Yeonjun

MOAs are proud of the hard work Yeonjun put in and Yeonjun revealed he is satisfied with his performance as well! Yeonjun also sweetly thanked the dancers and expressed his gratitude to the hard-working staff members.

You all were looking forward to it so much and I had to keep up with that energy, so I worked super hard, did a lot of research and, in the end, I believe it came out well.
