She revealed that she had been in a slump since GFRIEND promoted “Fever” in 2019. She said, “Ever since ‘Fever,’ I hated seeing myself on the stage. I used to enjoy seeing myself on camera. But suddenly, I couldn’t stand it. I became less and less motivated.”

SinB said her slump continued until GFRIEND’s last album, Walpurgis Night, was released in 2020. At the time, she had no idea that this would be their final album.

Because she didn’t realize “MAGO” would be her last time performing as a GFRIEND member, SinB didn’t actively try to defeat her slump, and she kept performing “in that state of slump.” She said, “When I look back on it, I regret it a little.”

She also revealed that the members knew about their disbandment ahead of the official announcement, but they could not tell the fans anything. She recalled the members crying while live streaming because they were saddened to disband and to keep secrets from Buddies.

SinB said the members cried so much before their disbandment was officially announced that they didn’t think that they would cry on the day the news broke. At the time, she shared a dorm with Sowon and Eunha. On the day their disbandment was announced, all 3 of them came out of their rooms crying, and they cried together over the news.

SinB said, “Last year was especially difficult for us, though we tried not to show it. I never thought that I could cry so much. Last year was the hardest time of my life.”

Although GFRIEND disbanded, SinB has hope that the members will “unite someday.”
