Last month, fans were excited to see the two friends finally collaborate on a song together. They had wanted to collaborate for a long time, and they finally got the chance on the OST for K-Drama Our Blues.

In an interview with Weverse Magazine, Jimin related that the collaboration was incredibly meaningful to him, especially because Ha Sung Woon was actually the first friend Jimin made when he first moved to Seoul.

He was the first friend I made when I moved to Seoul. He’s the first non-school friend I ever made if you don’t include the other BTS members. We used to say, ‘Someday, when we both make it big, it would be something special if we made a song together and sent it out into the world.’ That was the meaning behind it: something I wanted to do someday.

Their friendship goes way, way back, so it’s exciting to see how close they continue to be after so long. On July 14, Ha Sung Woon guested on KBS CoolFM‘s Music Plaza along with Peakboy, who is a member of the famous ‘Wooga Squad’ that includes BTS’s VPark Hyung Sik, Park Seo Joon, and Choi Woo Shik.

Ha Sung Woon was asked if his friend group with Jimin also had a name like V and Peakboy’s Wooga Squad. While he said they don’t, he claimed that they do often hang out and go on trips together, just like them!

In fact, he shared that he and Jimin went to watch the recent friendly between Tottenham Hotspur and Team K on July 13, where they were reportedly seen with Hwang Minhyun.

What was particularly exciting though, according to Ha Sung Woon, was that they actually got to walk around on the field before the match. Not only that, but they were also excited to find a ball there, which they were told was the one the players would actually play with in the match.

There was a soccer ball in the middle of the field, and we joked like, ‘Shall we just take that with us?’ When we asked what the ball was for, and the staff told us that it was the actual ball that the players were going to use.

Ha Sung Woon hilariously related that he had actually kissed the ball before he and Jimin left the field, saying, “I picked up the ball and kissed it. The players kicked the ball that I kissed!”

Host Li Gi Kwang expressed surprise since usually only players and staff are allowed on the field. Yet, fans might not find it as surprising, seeing as Ha Sung Woon and Jimin were there together! Ha Sung Woon explained,“That’s right. We had special permission.”

In fact, he says they even got to fist-bump Tottenham Hotspur star Hugo Lloris!

Clearly, the two besties had plenty of fun at the match. After fans waited for so long to see Jimin and Ha Sung Woon collaborate, we’re also finally getting some crumbs of this iconic friendship!
