Actor Lee Do Hyun’s Instagram Gets Hacked, And IVE’s Wonyoung To Be Next Target

EXO’s Xiumin might also be a target.

Lee Do Hyun’s account has since been restored, and the alleged hacker did hack IVE Wonyoung’s account and released a statement on the reasons behind their actions.

Actor Lee Do Hyun has been hacked on Instagram.

The actor is popular and well-known for K-Dramas such as Hotel del Luna, 18 Again, Sweet Home, and Youth of May.

As of recently, he boasted 5.5 million followers on the social media application Instagram. Unfortunately, his account has now been hacked.

On Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at 1 AM (KST), Lee Do Hyun’s Instagram appeared to have been hacked as his original uploads disappeared. Instead, a random mouse photo was posted with the caption, “owned by ratobot.”

The next post was the Brazilian flag, causing netizens to suspect the hacker in question was from Brazil.

Shortly after, another photo of a mouse was posted, claiming “ratobot still lives.

The next couple of photos were even more random as it was of unrecognizable men.

Lee Do Hyun’s followers continued getting increasingly upset by the situation as the hacker continued to post random photos of mice and men.

Finally, after an hour, photos of Lee Do Hyun appeared, but it was still posted by the hacker, who confessed to having been “bored.” They reassured the actor’s fans that the original posts would be restored.

Yet, while promising to return the account to its rightful owner(s), the hacker continually shaded Lee Do Hyun’s staff. They said that the actor should have “better advisors.”

Still, even after that, the hacker continued to post, including a photo of a hamster with a link to Discord.

And more pictures of unfamiliar men were uploaded to Lee Do Hyun’s account.

In one of the more recent posts, video creator Pedro, with YouTube channel Manikomio, was tagged.

The last post was yet another photo of a mouse, encouraging netizens to follow.

The hacker continually hashtagged “#ratobot,” which at the time of writing only had 25 posts. Based on the activity, they appear to be targeting Korean entertainers.

The hacker appears to be user @bonn4tte3. Their bio suggests they are named Albert Liam and an American-Korean. While they have only one post, they have 34K followers.

The user was also confirmed to be Brazilian with the location tag on their last post.

The hacker also revealed that their next target is IVE‘s Wonyoung.

At this time, there appears to be no actual motivation for the hacker’s actions other than boredom.

Hopefully, the hacker will not succeed in hacking Wonyoung’s Instagram account.

Additionally, it appears the hacker is continuing to create more Instagram accounts, including photos of idols and more, with the hashtag “#ratobot.”

Recently, EXO‘s Xiumin has also been suggested to be one of the “next targets.”

At this time, Lee Do Hyun’s agency Yuehua Entertainment is trying to restore all the data on his Instagram. They have apologized and asked for understanding as the issue is resolved.

For a couple of days since it was initially hacked, Lee Do Hyun’s Instagram account had been disabled as it came up as “Page not found.” As of August 25, it appears to have been restored, including the actor’s original posts.
