K-NCTzens Have A Trademark Fashion Style — Which Is How MIRAE’s Son Dongpyo Recognized One On The Streets

It’s a very distinct style!

Did you know that K-NCTzens are famous for having a trademark fashion style? They’re widely known amongst fellow idol fans for this style of dressing. And no, we’re not talking about these looks suggested by NCT themselves.

It all started when a netizen innocuously posed the question on an online forum asking what sort of style would people call the following.

The highest ranked comment ended up being, “a style NCT fans wear when unboxing albums.

This sort of kitschy, slightly Y2K, slightly hip-hop look soon became famous as the NCTzen look. The main points include monochrome colors, arm warmers, a Vivienne Westwood necklace, and boots or sneakers. Various lookbooks were uploaded onto YouTube to parody the look.

The look became so famous that MIRAE‘s Son Dongpyo was able to recognize it instantly on Square’s Dream. As he stopped three girls at the Han River for an interview, he immediately asked if one of them was an NCT fan.

Her highlighted hair, all-black look with a vintage tee, and a lowrise skirt were a dead giveaway. They even danced to “Kick It” together.
