On April 18, BTS‘s J-Hope became the next member of the group to enlist for their mandatory military service. Following his first week of enlistment, an official military app shared the first photos of the idol.

Before he enlisted, J-Hope ensured that ARMYs were the first to see his new haircut, revealing the buzzcut on both Instagram and Weverse.

After J-Hope officially enlisted on April 18, the official BTS Twitter account shared photos of all the members together, including Jin, who is also currently serving in the military.

BTS even revealed a video from J-Hope’s enlistment and while it was emotional, it was heartwarming to see their reactions to their member and how close their bond is.

Recently, new photos of the idol have been released through the official military app called “The Camp.”

The app provides official photos uploaded by the military, information about their daily meals, and a place where letters can be sent virtually.

In a recent update on the app, pictures of military trainees are often uploaded, and J-Hope’s photos were among the updates. In one of the group photos, J-Hope is seen wearing a military uniform and making a heart with his fingers.

The second photo shows J-Hope in what seems like his military quarters with his other soldiers. As BTS’s “Happy Virus,” J-Hope has a huge smile on his face and a signature thumbs-up pose.

While enlistment can seem like a long time for netizens when their idols are serving, official military services provide updates during their training until the time J-Hope can return to social media and make ARMYs smile with his presence.
