The 15 K-Pop Albums That Have Made It Onto The Coveted “Billboard 200” Chart In 2023

Two have made it to the #1 spot!

The “Billboard 200” chart is a music chart that ranks the top 200 albums in the United States on a weekly basis. The criteria used to determine the albums that make it onto the chart is mostly based on physical and digital sales, as well as streaming numbers, all within the U.S. Because of this, it’s been notoriously difficult for K-Pop albums to make it onto the chart until more recent years as the music genre has become more popular internationally. It’s still not common, though, so any time a K-Pop artist makes it onto the chart, it’s a major accomplishment!

So far in 2023, 15 K-Pop albums have made it onto the “Billboard 200” chart for the first half of the year — which is far more than the first half of any year past, and only eight less than the total number of K-Pop albums that ranked on it for all of 2022. Here are all of those albums, including how many weeks they’ve spent on the chart and their peak position!
