Popular Girl Group’s Company Permanently Blacklists Sasaeng Fan After Several Incidents

“This person will be permanently excluded…”

Sasaeng fans, known for their obsessive and often invasive behavior toward idols, have long been a problematic aspect of the K-Pop industry. In a recent development, fans worldwide are commending Modhaus —the entertainment company behind the innovative girl group TripleS — for their firm stance against such behavior.

Modhaus recently made waves online when they announced via their Discord channel that a sasaeng fan of TripleS had been permanently blacklisted from all the group’s fan-related activities. This bold move by the company is a clear signal of their zero-tolerance policy towards invasive fan behavior.

The blacklist encompasses a broad range of activities, effectively cutting off the fan’s access to the group. This includes barring participation in online and offline fan club events, fan signing sessions, public broadcasts, and any other events related to TripleS.

This decisive action was taken after the fan in question was involved in several troubling incidents, violating key fan club rules. Modhaus specifically cited three infringed rules that led to this strict action.

No Informal Schedules and Private Space Visits

Fans are prohibited from intruding into the personal schedules and private spaces of the artists. This rule aims to respect the personal lives and privacy of the group members.

Prohibition of Artist Privacy Leakage and Stalking

This rule strictly forbids the leaking of any private information about the artists and any form of stalking. It’s crucial in protecting the safety and well-being of the artists.

BTS’s Jungkook has previously had to call out fans for stalking him to his house.

Prohibition of Other Inappropriate Acts

This encompasses a broader range of unacceptable behaviors that are deemed harmful or disrespectful to the artists or the fan community.

TripleS fans have largely welcomed Modhaus’s decision, viewing it as a necessary step towards ensuring a safer and more respectful environment for both the artists and the fans. The incident has already sparked discussions about the need for stricter measures against sasaeng behavior in the K-Pop industry.

K-Pop fans now hope that this move by Modhaus will set a new standard and contribute to deterring similar incidents in the future, fostering a healthier fan culture that respects the boundaries and well-being of artists.
