BLACKPINK’s Tour Announcement Sparks Major Concerns And Criticism

Fans are a bit surprised by the sudden news.

Since the members of BLACKPINK each took the management of their solo careers outside of YG Entertainment, fans have patiently awaited the group’s return.

Over the last year, the members and YG have promised a new album and tour in 2025, even amid the members’ busy schedules. They have held true on one part of this promise already!

On February 19, the group’s world tour was announced on the BLACKPINK social media accounts.

The tour dates begin in Korea with two nights of concerts at Goyang Stadium, before heading to North America, Europe, and Japan. Each date is at a stadium, showing just how large the demand for the group is.

Of course, many fans were thrilled over the announcement and confirmation that BLACKPINK would return this year as a full group. Many commented on the scale of the tour locations, excited for the upcoming concerts.

On the other hand, many have expressed negative feelings about the tour.

To start, there are only a few dates announced in general, with entire countries that usually would receive concerts, like Thailand not included.

Other points of complaint include the tour name not being announced, the short time between ticketing announcement and sales, and the preparedness of the group. Rather than a criticism of their skills, some were concerned at how the group would prepare for the tour between their upcoming schedules.

The tour announcement coming before the album also did not sit well.

There are just a few months til the concert begins, so hopefully fans’ concerns can be soothed before the start.
