Boy Group Accused Of Causing Public Uproar At Airport, Agency Responds
A rookie boy group came under fire for their alleged rule-breaking behavior at an airport. The incident sparked controversy online after a passenger publicly called out the group.

LOONG9 is a project boy group under Yuehua Entertainment that was formed through the survival show Asia Super Young. The group debuted on August 26, 2024, with their first single, “Go For Broke”. Their airport incident took place on the morning of February 22, when passengers started lining up to board a Shenzhen Airlines flight from Shenzhen to Beijing, China.

According to media reports, a netizen who claimed to be one of these passengers shared a video to Weibo of LOONG9.
The boarding process was abruptly put on pause due to the arrival of LOONG9 and their staff, who were then allowed to board before the other passengers who had lined up ahead of time. The boarding process was further disrupted by LOONG9’s fans, who cut in line to follow LOONG9, angering other passengers, who then shouted and swore.
According to the netizen who posted the viral video, LOONG9 were given priority boarding, ahead of both business class and economy class passengers, despite having economy class tickets. At the time, no explanation was given.

LOONG9’s agency has since clarified the situation and apologized for the inconvenience it caused the airport’s staff and travelers. According to the agency, LOONG9 did not intentionally cut in line. Rather, they were following “real-time communication with multiple parties” that directed them to board at a particular time to prevent fans’ crowding. The agency also promised to improve travel arrangements in the future and urged fans to prioritize safety while supporting LOONG9.
