One of the stories included in the book is of an underground J-Pop idol and her murder at the hands of a fan who she built a closer relationship with. In Japan, an underground idol is a performer who performs at small venues and is not managed by a traditional agency.

These idols’ fanbases, while small, are usually very dedicated to the stars.

According to Shūkan Bunshun, just before the idol turned 17, she began dating a 37-year-old man who purchased her merchandise and gave her money to support her activities. Ultimately, the two began an intimate relationship, and she began living with him after a year and a half.

The man, who supposedly had a history of domestic violence, was angered after going through her phone and discovering she was living with someone else.

He then decided to kill her. After the two met and had sex, he attacked, strangling her. He then took photos of her body, posing with it both before and while raping her again. He also planned to eat her dismembered body before a phone call from his mother changed his mind.
