KBS Addresses EXO Xiumin’s Accusations Of Being Banned From “Music Bank”
KBS has responded to allegations made by EXO‘s Xiumin and his agency INB100. The former SM Entertainment star accused KBS of banning him from performing on Music Bank due to his feud with his former agency.
KBS denied any accusations and called Xiumin’s claims “groundless.”

On March 4, a representative from KBS clarified the situation to several media outlets.
The claim that KBS informed Xiumin he was not allowed to appear on Music Bank is not true. We have been in ongoing communication with his agency.

The controversy started earlier that day when INB100 and Xiumin released a statement on social media claiming that despite their repeated efforts to arrange meetings with KBS regarding his solo comeback promotions, they had been met with silence. The agency further alleged that KBS unofficially conveyed that Xiumin would not be able to appear on programs featuring SM Entertainment artists.

While KBS maintains that there is no official restriction on Xiumin’s appearance, the controversy has reignited discussions about the challenges faced by artists who leave their original agencies. Many fans have drawn comparisons to past incidents, such as JYJ’s (former TVXQ! members) struggles to secure music show appearances after parting ways with SM Entertainment.
