It was recently announced that NCT DREAM would embark on a new concert tour sometime this year. No details have yet been given, beyond the concert’s title being a continuation of their previous tours.

The group has been questioned about The Dream Show 4 multiple times over the last few months, with members sharing that the opening shows would take place some time during the summer. While tours are usually a source of excitement for fans, this announcement has been met with mixed reactions.

For one, the group’s previous tour, The Dream Show 3 ended less than six months ago and the group have not had a comeback in the time since, though one is expected shortly. Many have expressed wishes for the group to have time to promote this upcoming comeback, as well as have solo activities.

The short time between the two tours has led many to question SM Entertainment’s reasoning, with some under the belief the company is pushing forward for the sake of finances. Others believe the group’s contracts might have something to do with the timeline.

Many artists are under 7 year contracts with usually three year extensions, and with 2016 being NCT DREAM’s 10th year, some believe the rush is due to this. Some fear that one or more members has plans to terminate their contracts with SM.
