Super Junior Kyuhyun’s Problematic Behavior To Female Contestant On “Devil’s Plan” Sparks Major Controversy
Netflix recently returned with the second series of Devil’s Plan, where contestants take part in games of wit and strategy to be crowned the winner.
One of the contestants is Super Junior‘s Kyuhyun.
One scene from episode ten has sparked a major controversy, including Kyuhyun and singer Kang Ji Young. The two were discussing some of the past contestants in comparison to Jeong Hyun Gyu, where Kyuhyun seemed to speak about the star isolating himself, and Ji Young responded with confusion at the thoughts of the stars around the tables.
Kyuhyun: He only did it to try and save himself. But by doing that, Hyun Gyu had become all by himself. Even if I win, I think I’d be really angry at myself. I just feel like this is not the way I want to do it.
Kang Ji Young: But I don’t really understand this. It’s been the majority against one the whole time. What about when you got rid of Se Dol (former go player Lee Se Dol)? Didn’t you feel sorry for Justin (US actor Justin H. Min) when he had to play by himself. Why, all of a sudden, are you being so righteous? Pretending to be peaceful —
Kyuhyun: No, they wanted to play by themselves. But does Hyun Gyu want to play by himself? We made him be by himself.

When the clip was posted, the clip got hundreds of comments and over 45,000 views in a matter of hours. In the comments, netizens hit back at Kyuhyun’s behavior toward the singer and how he cut her off while speaking and sharing sympathy towards Kang Ji Young.
