Usually, groups see growth just before and after a comeback, especially in their social media following. However, ENHYPEN’s has taken a negative direction due to an ongoing boycott.

Earlier this month, ENHYPEN were announced to collaborate with Cadbury. Participants who buy the listed amount of candy will be entered to win a trip to Seoul to meet the group.

While many were excited for the chance, some were not pleased with the collaboration due to the brand’s connection to Israel.

Cadbury is not listed on the official BDS boycott list in support of Palestine, but due to its’ parent company’s (Mondelez), investments into start-ups in Israel, it is recommended as a boycott target.

This has reflected in some fans’ efforts to boycott ENHYPEN to protest the collaboration.

And while not all fans agree with the choice to boycott due to collaboration being planned by the company rather than the group, it has impacted ENHYPEN’s social media following.

On Instagram, over the last few days, the group has seen a net decrease of about 21,000, while the group’s TikTok has lost around 100,000.
