Popular global singer Liam Gallagher has sparked outrage by using a racist slur towards Asians in a now-deleted tweet.

Recently, Liam Gallagher tweeted the word “Chingchong” which is a known racist term and slur used to mock East Asian people, especially those from China.

Although the tweet was deleted, fans shared their fury and disgust at the racist tweet from the singer, especially Chinese fans who shared that they had been fans of the singer.

In particular, Oasis is due to play shows in Korea and Japan as part of their 2025 tour.

When the tweet reached Korean fans, they shared anger and thoughts on the singer’s poor personality, with some even saying he shouldn’t come to Korea for the show, and how if it were an idol, they would be canceled.
