Kwon Eunbi’s Controversial “WATERBOMB” Stage Has Affected Her Chart Performance And More
Over the weekend, Seoul held its WATERBOMB festival, kicking off the summer season with a bang.
Dozens of artists performed at the festival, but none arguably made a bigger bang than solo artist Kwon Eunbi.

Eunbi, known as the “WATERBOMB Goddess,” put on a sexy performance that included a cover of Beyoncé’s “Crazy In Love.” Clips from her performance quickly went viral, sparking debate over the idol’s sexy image.

While reactions might have been divided, there has been an effect on the idol’s chart performance and more after the event.
As with most viral performances, Eunbi saw an increase in the following on her Instagram account, gaining over 117 thousand followers in just three days. Her YouTube channel has also seen an increase in subscribers, gaining around 4,000 in the same time frame


There has also been an impact on her chart performance, with a well known tracking site reporting that three of her songs were charting in the top 120 of various regions iTunes Charts. In Taiwan, her latest song “Hello Stranger” jumped 30 spots in 24 hours, while it joined the chart in Hong Kong as a new entry.
“Underwater” and “Door” also had new entries in Hong Kong and Taiwan, respectively.

So, while it is still too early to give an accurate view of everything that Eunbi’s “WATERBOMB” performance has affected, it is easy to see that there is a positive increase in all of her platforms.
