Kim Soo Hyun’s Latest Update Sparks Rumors Of Huge Financial Trouble
Controversial actor Kim Soo Hyun has sparked massive speculation regarding his current financial status with his latest move.
The speculation began after it was revealed that Kim recently sold one of his luxury apartments in Seoul, just as he became entangled in several high-profile legal disputes with advertisers.
According to a report from Woman Sense, Kim sold one of his three units in the upscale Galleria Foret complex, located in Seongsu-dong, for ₩8 billion. He originally purchased the property in 2014 for ₩3.02 billion, making a profit of nearly ₩5 billion. The sale was finalized on July 3, just days after he reportedly signed a real estate contract with the buyer on June 27.
The timing of the sale has raised eyebrows, as it came shortly after Kim became the target of a ₩7.3 billion damages lawsuit filed by two advertising clients. Medical device brand Classys and home appliance company Cuckoo’s Malaysian branch have both filed provisional seizure orders on Kim’s properties, with Classys reportedly freezing ₩3 billion of his real estate assets.
The wave of legal action stems from the massive controversy involving the late actress Kim Sae Ron. Kim Soo Hyun has been accused — by YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute and Kim Sae Ron’s family — of having a relationship with Kim Sae Ron while she was still a minor. Kim’s side has firmly denied the allegations and is currently pursuing legal action against the channel’s operators and Kim Sae Ron’s family.
His legal team has also stated that the lawsuits from advertisers are based on unfounded claims.
It’s true that some advertisers have filed damages lawsuits, but these claims are based entirely on false allegations made by Garosero Research Institute. As such, there is no legal or contractual basis for the damages to be recognized.

Despite the actor’s denial, the property sale has only added fuel to rumors that he may be preparing for a prolonged legal battle and possibly significant financial losses.
