Popular Actor Confesses To Why He Turned Down An Award

Actor Lee Jun Young recently appeared as a guest on JTBC’s 한끼합쇼, and shared various stories about his acting career and life.

Lee Jun Young is a rising actor who has left a strong impression through various works, including Weak Hero Class 2, D.P., Mask Girl, and more.

I am shy, but when I act, I realize that I can legally express all my emotions as soon as I hear the director say ‘action’. I’ve been lucky enough to work on many Netflix projects.

In particular, he also shared an interesting experience he had after dealing with a drunk driver.

While leaving work, the car in front of me almost crashed into the guardrail twice. I honked my horn to warn them, but they didn’t listen, so I called the police station. The police asked me to follow them, so I chased them for about an hour and caught them. I thought it was better for them to hit my car than someone else’s, so I followed them.

He also revealed that although he was recognized for his actions, he denied the award.

Aren’t there many more exemplary and courageous people? I didn’t like receiving it because I am a public figure; I didn’t think that was cool.

Regarding his turning point as an actor, he chose the series, D.P.

There was a scene where I fought with actor Jung Haein on the rooftop. I started learning mixed martial arts after because I had so many regrets about the action scene.
