With the start of Mnet’s Boys II Planet, the show and its contestants have gone viral online.
In particular, Chinese contestant Sun Hengyu has gone viral for his background and performance.
His story also garnered much attention on Korean online community sites, gaining over 64,000 views. It was revealed that he had debuted before in a group called BLANK2Y, which disbanded in 2023.

He also expressed how desperately he wanted to perform on stage, revealing that he worked at a restaurant washing dishes for 12 hours a day because his agency ignored him after disbandment.
His performance also did not disappoint and had the judges jumping out of their seats.
