Hannah recently shared support for Leo on X, retweeting a video of his performance with Sangwon.

A now-deleted tweet called out Hannah’s comment due to Leo’s past controversy regarding “disgusting” lyrics towards women. The controversy sparked huge anger when it was first shared when he was in Trainee A, and then again after confirming his participation in Boys II Planet.

Following the criticism, Hannah shared a reply, explaining, “I would never be friends with a misogynist.” She added that she had known Leo for two years, adding, “I can confidently say Leo genuinely has the kindest and gentlest soul.”

Netizens criticized Hannah’s response, explaining that just because Hannah knew him, it didn’t mean they could forgive him for such violent lyrics against women, adding that it was dismissing the seriousness of the controversy.

Yet, some hit back at the criticism, claiming those who were calling Leo out for “misogyny” were being misogynistic towards Hannah.
