Korean Man Kills His Son With Shocking Weapon, Testimony Exposes Chilling Attempt To Kill Grandchildren
A man in his 60s has been arrested in South Korea after fatally shooting his own son using a homemade firearm. The chilling case shocked the nation not only because of the brutal nature of the crime but also due to new testimony revealing he allegedly planned to kill other family members, including his grandchildren.

According to SBS, the incident occurred three days ago. The suspect used a weapon he crafted himself to shoot and kill his son, a man in his 30s. Authorities arrested the man shortly afterward and secured tools and materials from his home, which were believed to have been used to build the firearm.

Until recently, Mr. A had refused to give a clear motive, citing only general family issues. However, during an interrogation with two criminal profilers, he finally revealed the disturbing reason behind his actions. He reportedly confessed that his son had stopped providing him with financial support last year, despite being financially stable. Frustrated and angry over this, he claimed the loss of financial support drove him to commit the crime.
My son had been supporting me financially, but he stopped last year. His business is doing well, but he still didn’t help me, so I acted out of resentment.

Even more disturbing are claims from the victim’s family. In a public statement, they alleged that Mr. A didn’t stop at his son. They say he tried to reload the weapon and chase after his daughter-in-law after she briefly left the room to help her husband.
They also stated he threatened to break into the room where the children were hiding and demanded they come out, suggesting he may have intended to harm them as well.
When the daughter-in-law briefly left the room to try and save her husband, he reloaded the gun, shouted, and chased after her.

Police have since confirmed that Mr. A purchased metal piping — a key component of the gun — in the same year he claims the support stopped.
