Korean Actress Speaks Up About Airplane Baggage Violation Controversy
Recently, actress Yang Mira came forward to explain herself after discovering that she had packed her portable battery charger in her checked baggage.

Ha…honestly you don’t know how much I was running around at the airport yesterday…I was called up because my portable battery charger was in my checked baggage, and I went to the Kids cafe only to find out it was under construction. I went to pick up my duty-free items but it was almost closing time for boarding…my mom told me that from all the running that I do, I could have made it to Canada!

She expressed her frustration, revealing that she did not intentionally violate the aviation safety regulations but made the mistake due to ignorance.
On July 24, she made a post on Instagram regarding the controversy.

“It must be past 1 AM in Korea. Yesterday, while reading all the articles that were not true, I was shocked, but I thought that if I didn’t take action, things would be ok.
I am writing this because if I stay silent, I’ll become a fool who knew about the baggage regulations yet bragged about it.
I was traveling with a child, so I had a lot of luggage. I was so busy packing my luggage for a three-week trip that I didn’t realize that the portable battery charger was in my checked baggage…
Fortunately, I could take it out after the airport checked it, and I got on the plane without any problems after taking care of it.
However, the fact that the situation was reported as if I had intentionally violated the regulations is not true, and honestly, I was taken aback by all this.
I wanted to let you all know that it was a very thin portable battery that got stuck between my clothes, and I did not intentionally put it in there because I didn’t know the regulations.
I’ve always been a bit absent-minded and scattered, so I posted it to mean that I was busy from the start. However, I didn’t write the details of the situation, so I guess it made room for misunderstanding.
But because it was my fault for not checking my luggage once more, I will be more careful in the future. I was upset yesterday and today, but now that I have organized my thoughts, I feel better. I hope everyone has a good night.”
